It's an old road and I'm not sure if there's asfalt all the way or if it's gravel, but you'll pass a few farms and come back on the E6 straight after the tunnel. I didn't do it because It's down and uphill instead of the straighter tunnel. |

You get a breathtaking view of the beautiful agricultural village and famous surf spot Unstad and The big sea. You can follow the 2nd generation road along the mountain side on a gravel road or take the first generation cart road down to the village. But this have parts that are not suitable for cycling. But it is fine to go with the bike. See more info for a photo of the view. |

Apon Yes, there is no car ferry left between Stavanger and Tau, but there is a hurtigbåt going between Fiskepirterminalen, Stavanger and Tau as well as some of the other islands, that takes bicycles along. |
