Charlotte's Tandems - We lend tandems to (and only to) people with disabilities or special needs for free, who are unable to ride a bike safely on their own, so that they can enjoy the wonders of cycling. Sorry, our tandems are not for paid hire or available to non disabled people, for charity rides, no matter how worthy the cause. Our borrowers are both children and adults. Tandems are a fun and safe way to get out and about as friends, a couple, family or group. They are available for hire for a couple of a months at a time.

www.cycling-in-france.com - Website for the charity ride (Sept 2003) that went over the major cols of the Pyrenees which raised nearly £10,000/$15000 for the Charity Intermediate Technology It includes descriptions of their adventures and many photos, there is available a full route plan including campsite details and maps, and a CD rom with over 300 hi-res pictures of the ride. This would be wonderful for anyone planning to ride the cols of the Pyrenees. All they ask is a minimum donation of £20/30e/$30 to ITDG - a bargain and one which will help many people.
