  • bicycletutor.com - Excellent site showing how to fix and repair any part of your bike. It includes some great video clips showing you how to do adjustments and repairs.

  • Charlotte's Tandems - We lend tandems to (and only to) people with disabilities or special needs for free, who are unable to ride a bike safely on their own, so that they can enjoy the wonders of cycling. Sorry, our tandems are not for paid hire or available to non disabled people, for charity rides, no matter how worthy the cause. Our borrowers are both children and adults. Tandems are a fun and safe way to get out and about as friends, a couple, family or group. They are available for hire for a couple of a months at a time.

  • CyclingLinks.co.uk - Directory of manufacturers website links and UK bike shop stockists, plus links for clubs, riders, organisations and more.

  • www.cycling-in-france.com - Website for the charity ride (Sept 2003) that went over the major cols of the Pyrenees which raised nearly £10,000/$15000 for the Charity Intermediate Technology It includes descriptions of their adventures and many photos, there is available a full route plan including campsite details and maps, and a CD rom with over 300 hi-res pictures of the ride. This would be wonderful for anyone planning to ride the cols of the Pyrenees. All they ask is a minimum donation of £20/30e/$30 to ITDG - a bargain and one which will help many people.

  • Cycling in North Wales: CTC Cymru - Cycling news and features including detailed, illustrated descriptions of cycleways and of many rides in north to mid-Wales. The 1887 Sketchbook Diary section has over 200 entertaining, contemporary sketches by a Liverpool enthusiast that reveal what cycling and cycle touring was like over 120 years ago.

  • DublinBy.bike is a site dedicated to all who like to explore the city and the surrounding by bicycle. The idea is to explore good bicycle routes using Dublin as the “hub” for the trips. The routes will include GPS information suitable for downloading to your GPS device or smart phone. With this you can follow the route as instructed by your device.

  • Wanderrad.de - Information on cycling around Lake Constance. Biking & Alpencross with images, descriptions and GPS data (it is in German but Google Translate does a reasonable job of translating it).

  • Warmshowers.org - The 'Warm Showers List' is a list of Internet cyclists who have offered their hospitality towards touring cyclists. The extent of the hospitality depends on the host and may range from simply a spot to pitch a tent to meals, a warm (hot!) shower, and a bed.

  • Warrington Cycle Campaign - The campaign promotes safer cycling for existing cyclists in Warrington, and aims to encourage more people to travel by bicycle in the town. (Checkout their 'Cycle facility of the month' feature, absolutely brilliant. We howled with laughter at these!)
